About me
I am a South African registered landscape architect (SACLAP) who has lived and worked in Morocco for the past 30+ years. While I moved here for family reasons, I wouldn't choose anywhere else to practise!
The landscapes of this beautiful country are breathtaking and inspiring, and we need to work on preserving the social, cultural and health benefits they offer. This is particularly important in Moroccan cities where biodiversity is largely neglected. Imagine if we could persuade decision-makers to leverage nature to ensure health and vitality, instead of relying solely on grey (hard infrastructure) or soft (knowledge and information systems)?
I am also on the IFLA Africa executive committee and working with IFLA on professional recognition of the profession in countries, like Morocco, where landscape architecture has no official recognition.
