Joy is the Associate Coordination Officer at
UN-Habitat. She focuses on inclusive and sustainable development through the development of new tools for public space assessments, city-wide strategies, SDG 11.7.1 methodology, and nature-based solutions. Her responsibilities include monitoring and reporting to donors on public space project implementation, managing teams and Minecraft experts, running workshops, and resource mobilization. She has more than five years of experience in GIS technologies and urban planning and is an expert on public spaces.
Joy speaks English, Swahili, and Kipsigis and holds a bachelor’s in landscape architecture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She lives in Nairobi, Kenya, where she enjoys swimming, cycling, and nature walks.
